I figured that as long as I was trying to introduce new scrapbook kits every Monday I might as well make a feature out of it. So here it is--Scrapbook Monday. I will feature my Monday scrapbook kits here as finished layouts. This way I kill the proverbial "two birds with one stone". I get my kit samples done and I get some scrapbooking done.
In the future I'll add pictures to the layouts so you can see how I'm actually using them. I intended to use this one for Jasmine's 7th grade school pics, but I made the Bashful Blue mat the wrong size. I thought the larger picture was 4x6, but it's 5x7 so I'll have to make an adjustment or choose some other pictures. I think I'll get out my sewing machine and sew a few stitches across the bottom of the Real Red cardstock to add a little dimension to the page.
This layout uses stamps and paper from the new Occasions mini catalog and the free stamp set I received at the Stampin' Up! regionals seminar in Tulsa, So Much. This isn't a set that I would have purchased but now that I have it I can't stop using it. It's so versatile.

Stamp club was so much fun last night. Everyone seemed to like the projects we did. I thought they were pretty cute. A couple of these were projects we did at regionals in Tulsa. I'd forgotten how much impact the simpler projects can make. But hearing and seeing everyone's reactions last night definitely gave me something to think about for future workshops. K-I-S-S -- keep it simple sweetie!!
Oh yeah, remember that the 4x4 cards can be mailed in regular A2 envelopes. Using square envelopes cost extra postage.
I still need a few people for my monthly swap. I also announced last night that I would continue to do the free workshops on the first Thursday of the month. I'll keep doing them as long as a people will show up. It will be the same format as usual and I'll provide the snacks. The next workshop will be on Thursday, April 3 at 7pm. I'll send a reminder to my entire mailing list and you can let me know if you plan to come.

Stamping Royalty, that is!! Yesterday I spent a wonderful day at the Stampin' Up! regional conference in Tulsa. I had such a good time and I learned a TON of stuff. Seriously, all they did all day pretty much was show us techniques and beautiful WOW!! creations. It was great. I drove up to Tulsa on Friday night with my good friend and fellow Amarillo demonstrator, Debra.
Anyway, back to my brush with royalty. We were all heads down working frantically on our make and take projects when we hear Shelly Gardner's voice say hello. I could not believe that Shelly was standing at our table. For those of you who don't know who Shelly is, she is the president and CEO of Stampin' Up! The SU goddess!!! Open up the front cover of any Stampin' Up! catalog or mini catalog and you will see her beautiful face smiling back at you. I have to admit I felt a little starstruck, but at least I wasn't like Debra. I was pretty sure she was about to cry. If only I had gotten my camera out to capture that look on her face! Hi Debra!! I love you girl, but I know you were gonna cry!
At every regional and national conference Shelly always shares with us some really beautiful projects that she has actually made. This time she shared with us instructions on making these uber-cute little heart baskets that she used as decorations and Valentine's Day gifts for her daughters.
Over the course of the next few days I will be sharing pictures of some of the cool projects we learned or that were on the display boards. I hope to be able to recreate some of them myself.
